The
Relics of Jasfida
Just
three short decades after fending off a combined Ork and
Chaos assault on their planet, the citizens of Jasfida faced
the threat of war yet again. A mining expedition in the
relatively untouched northern hinterland unearthed 5 massive
crystals of untold power, for the Warp seethed dangerously
close to real-space wherever these relics lay. The Tau
masters of the planet immediately saw the scientific benefit
in researching these mysterious artifacts, and ordered them
hidden away in a city far to the south.
But
they were not alone. Chaos forces emerged, seeking to claim
the artifacts for their own. Tyranids began rampaging
throughout the planet, the Hive Mind drawn to the psychic
shockwave caused by the crystals. Necrons awoke from slumber
in a nearby tomb world with intentions to destroy the
offending Warp crystal. All manner of xenos arrived to
contest control of the crystals, all of them single-mindedly
motivated to be the faction who leaves Jasfida with the
most.
The
objective of this megabattle is to obtain the highest number
of relics, as noted by five markers placed on the table. Any
Infantry unit can pick up a relic by spending one complete
assault phase in contact with it, and can carry it as long
as they are not falling back or pinned. They can pass the relic to another Infantry unit by spending
an entire assault phase in contact with them. The player at
the end of the game with the most number of relics in their
possession wins.
We
will have plenty of units for participants to play with.
Anyone who wishes to use their own models may bring one 400
point Combat Patrol list. We will try to fit everyone in as
best we can.
